Field Day Fun!!!
We had a fun week with some fairy tales. The Three Little Pigs had us building houses out of straw, sticks and blocks. The children loved pretending to be the big bad wolf blowing them down! We read Chicken Little and "Miss" Kelli next door brought her baby chickens for us to see! Our Bible story was about the friends who cut a hole in the roof to bring their sick friend to see Jesus. Jesus healed his legs so he could walk again! We marched, danced and had fun with movement using our legs.
It was a fun week! It was too wet to go outside so "Miss" Hitomi showed us how to fly a kite while we watched from the window! Then we celebrated Earth Day by having a special dirt and worm snack, chocolate pudding and gummy worms! We planted some pretty yellow flowers outside our window. On Friday the children scooped bird seed to put in their recycled bird feeders that they decorated with insect stickers. Thank you God for our earth.
Our Easter Egg Hunt was fun even though it was inside since it was too wet outside!
Kids Kountry Petting Zoo was lots of fun!

We've had a fun week celebrating Dr. Seuss with dress-up days! Some of us tried green eggs and ham.
Some of us didn't want to try them Sam I am!
Some of us didn't want to try them Sam I am!
The children had so much fun this week learning about Community Helpers. They delivered the mail, pretended to brush their teeth, knocked down the fire (red cups), and got their very own Police badge! We are thankful to God for all of our Community Helpers.
We've had a fun week talking about how Jesus calmed the stormy sea. The children had fun threading rigatoni noodles on pipe cleaners and playing with pink play doh!

Christmas Fun! Merry Christmas to all!
The children made sheep with cotton balls, played in shaving cream to make Santa's beard, and made a sock baby Jesus in the manger. We loved seeing all their cute Christmas outfits. We even saw Santa this week! (Pictures with Santa were taken by the Yearbook staff - stay tuned for picture uploads!)
Painting with Jingle Bells, decorating the tree and playing outside in December, it's been a fun week!

Our Bible story was about the 10 Lepers that Jesus healed. Only one came back to Jesus to tell him "Thank you." The children loved playing with the doctor kit!
Bear week was fun! We went on a Bear hunt through the green grass, blue water, brown mud and found some bears in a cave! We found bears around our room as well as hiding under some black beans which went everywhere!! The children brought their own teddy bears to parade down the hall for our 2 year olds and Junior Kindergarten students.
We had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch with our Fun games!
We talked about Big and Little this week. Mother Hen is big and baby chicks are little. We talked about big and little animals that were on the ark. God kept Noah and the animals safe just like He keeps us safe. We got to visit a cave! It was a fun week!
Thank you God for our eyes to see and our ears to hear. The children loved it when we read Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? They painted a bear and added the animals on the bear. They are on display in the hallway. We used our eyes to see a science experiment with orange jello mix, baking soda and vinegar. They watched it bubble up! Look how attentive they are! Our future scientist! They enjoyed playing with and listening to our musical instruments (maracas and tambourines). The children enjoyed shaking an oatmeal canister with paint and listening to the jingle bells inside to make a special spider web painting. We sang "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" while they played with stuffed farm animals as we talked about what sounds the animals make. We concluded our Five Senses study by playing with and making our own Mr. or Mrs. Potato Head! It was a fun week!

The children loved playing with the zoo animal toys and coloring a picture of zoo animals. The JK children enjoyed watching our "animal parade" as our children brought their animals to school (stuffed animals.) It was a fun week!
Thank you God for the trees, flowers and plants. The children loved pretending to "plant" plastic flowers in an upside down egg carton. They painted flowers with do-a-dot paints. They used their sensory buckets to pretend to add dirt (black beans) to their flower pot along with a plastic flower. They tried some broccoli that looked like the trees that God made. Most of them didn't like the broccoli! We threw plastic leaves in the air and pretended it was fall! We went on a walk in the Bible garden and felt of different types of leaves that grow on the trees and bushes. Then we painted with bubble wrap and a rolling pin to show how carrots grow from the ground.
Thank you God for water! The children enjoyed painting waves and clown fish. Some of them enjoyed blue jello for snack! We tried a little experiment to see which toys would sink and which ones would float. The children loved playing with toy fish and boats. (I added the play doh pictures from the previous week!) We even played with the fish in shaving cream on Friday! Lots of fun and very messy!
Thank you God for sand, dirt and rocks! The children put sea shells in a bottle of sand (really rice) and black beans (suppose to be dirt) in another bottle with a fake brown worm! They loved painting a red crab which we displayed out in the hallway. They got to color some items that were RED as we celebrated red day and looked for items in our room that were RED. Check out our cute group picture of our RED outfits!
